about the band:
What do you get when you mix musicians from Tyrol, Vienna, Bruck and faraway Trinidad?
The unlikely alternative rock quartet Slave called shiver, who have pooled their diverse and eclectic roots to sculpt their very own brand of power adult rock.
Based in Vienna, this group’s sound is of the no-frills-just-thrills variety, using heavy and melodic riffs, progressive beats, a spunky bass and a screaming siren to create rock magic. The common denominator is their dedication to expressing the pitfalls and goodness of fallibility: euphoria, melancholy, escapism and self-indulgence.
The escapade began in 2006 as a hobby jam between friends, and quickly became an urge to seriously develop, absorb and grow. The local bar and club circuit beckoned, and they fearlessly paid their dues, taking in and digesting along the way. the band's wings earned miles, reaching amsterdam and rotterdam in late 2007.
slave called shiver is alicia bankhofer on vocals, philipp rechthaler on guitar and bernhard hackensteiner on drums.
